  2019 ALL-GREAT MIDWEST SECOND TEAM (COACHES): NATE DANTLEY JR. - Lake Erie College - Wide Receiver - Freshman,...Dantley helped spark the offense with numbers never seen before in program history. He set the school record for receiving yards in a game twice - first with 185 yards at Hillsdale and then again with 200 against nationally-ranked Tiffin - and capped the year with the single-season receiving yards record with 947 on 60 catches.   2019 ALL-GREAT MIDWEST HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): ELEMS UKWU JR. - Defensive Back - Graduate Student,...More honors come in for Ukwu who was just named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team. He was a magnet for the ball as he led the team and was top-10 in the G-MAC with 6.9 tackles per game. Counting solo tackles alone he was No. 3 in the league with 53. He was fourth in the G-MAC with 12 passes defended and added two interceptions, both against Hillsdale. Like Smith, Ukwu is a two-time selection as he repeats the same honor from last season. - Lake Erie College Football

  2019 ALL-GREAT MIDWEST HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): ERIC ZOKOURI - Running Back - RS Sophomore,...Zokouri was responsible for toting the rock this season and led the storm with 1,015 all-purpose yards. He carried the ball 153 times for 667 yards and an average of 4.4 yards per carry. Zokouri scored eight touchdowns on the season, five of which came on the ground. In the Storm's road win at Alderson Broaddus, Zokouri rumbled for 212 yards on 30 carries. - Lake Erie College Football

  2019 ALL-GREAT MIDWEST HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): TAREEQ WELCH - Defensive Back - Junior,...Right there with Ukwu in the secondary was Welch who added 11 passes defended, tied for sixth-most in the G-MAC. He also had a pair of interceptions, one against Mercyhurst and Walsh, and also added a forced fumble and fumble recovery against Davenport. Welch was also instrumental in the win against Kentucky Wesleyan where he returned a blocked field goal 88 yards for a touchdown and was named Special Teams Player of the Week as a result. - Lake Erie College Football

He racked up eight of them for the third-best mark in the G-MAC. He went through a stretch with scores in five consecutive games where he scored seven touchdowns over that time.   2019 ALL-GREAT MIDWEST HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): JAVARIAN SMITH - Quarterback - RS Senior,...Smith was a team leader in every sense of the word, both on the field and off, as he helped set new passing marks for the program. He finished the years first in the G-MAC and No. 13 in the nation with 2,829 total passing yards. Smith was also second in the G-MAC and No. 17 in the nation with 257.3 yards per game through the air. He dotted his name multiple times in the records books in the section for top 10 passing yards for a single game, and threw a career-best 469 yards against nationally ranked Tiffin for the second-best single game in the Storm's history. Against Kentucky Wesleyan, he led the Storm to their first win since 2017 with six touchdowns, four of which came through the air. The revamped offensive line helped generate a new attack scheme that saw the Storm put up unprecedented numbers through the air.   2019 GREAT MIDWEST CO-FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR (COACHES): Nate Dantley Jr., Lake Erie, Wide Receiver,...In a split vote by the league's coaches, the top rookie in the league was a prized honor shared by Lake Erie and Hillsdale. Dantley Jr. ranked third in the Great Midwest in receiving with 931 yards for a rising Lake Erie program. The talented receiver become the top target of QB Javarian Smith, who had a few top-10 passing yard games during the season. Dantley Jr. averaged 93.1 yards per game and hauled in four touchdowns. Keller filled some big shoes of Chance Stewart and navigated Hillsdale to a winning record, overall and conference. He threw for over 2,000 yards and tossed 16 touchdowns while completing 50 percent of his attempts. His prowess as a punter was also on display as he ranked third in the league with an average of 40.6 and had a conference long of 65. - Great Midwest Athletic Conference Football
